I made this cake in 2013 (I think) for the National Capital Area Cake Show.
It's still sitting in my bedroom which, frankly, makes you wonder what the heck fondant is made of, but it accomplished it's purpose when a little girl looked at it and went 'eww'.
The cake itself is styrofoam cake dummies covered in fondant and the skeleton structure was created with fondant over a copper wire armature I made. The organs I actually made in hard-core crunch time and, if I remember correctly, they're made of wadded up aluminum foil covered in tape and then coated in royal icing and painted (all of which I did at 2am before the show).
This was the last fancy show cake I made and possibly the last one I ever will make.
